CUSTOM ART SERVICE Croakies Custom Art Service is dedicated to offering you the highest quality. However, a large part of our success rests on the original artwork that you send to us.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK An original digital file is the best way to send artwork. If you can send us vector art files it will ensure the best quality silkscreen imprint. Please make sure that all fonts are converted to outlines. Please note that if pixel based art (jpeg, gif, eps) is sent it must be in a resolution that is at least 200-300 dpi. at 200% the size it will iimprint. REMEMBER most web graphics are only 72 dpi and are unsuitable for screenprinting. If you do not have digital files, then solid black art on slick white paper is preferable. If you are sending art that will have to be scanned, please make it as large as possible while still fitting on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. If your artwork or image is going to be printed in multiple colors and you are sending black and white art on paper, it will need to be supplied to us in the form of separations. For example, a color separation of a 3 color image looks like 3 separate black and white overlays, each one containing only the parts of the image that appear in a particular color. Then, when the product is screen printed, all of the separations are combined to make up a multi-color image. If you have a multi- color logo, please send the color separations in their black and white form, Not in the finished multi-colored form, or you will be charged for the labor of separating them. Although artwork printed on letterheads and business cards appears to be clean, the rough surface of the paper it is printed on, combined with the texture and color of the printing ink, often produces a very rough edged image unsuitable for reproduction. If you don't have the original of your logo on hand, call your designer or printer. They can easily provide you with a copy.

FAXING ARTWORK Faxing is the worst way to send art. If you must fax us art, please include the fonts names in case we have to recreate portions of your artwork.

EMAILING ARTWORK Please contact Customer Service for email artwork submission instructions. We can accept emailed artwork as long as it meets our digital artwork submission guidelines detailed above. When sending artwork please accurately name your files so we can tell which files are yours. Also please provide clear instructions about your artwork and order in your email message.

DISAPPEARING LINES Often in the process of reducing a logo to fit the small imprint areas of some of our products linework is shrunk down to fine hairlines that cannot be reproduced in silk screening. Please note, if artwork has thin lines or small type... or small type with thin lines, it will have to be altered.
